Incredible Vintage Dance Clips All on One DVD: Whitey's Lindy Hoppers, Nicholas Brothers and More!

This new DVD, put together by a film collector, provides some of our favorite all-time Lindy Hop routines teamed up with other great dance clips from the 30s and 40s. Featuring some of the finest jazz musicians of the twentieth century.



1. CONGAROOS - Frankie Manning's dance group,excerpted from Killer Diller, 1948

2. JITTERING JITTERBUGS- A film short made from Keep Punchin, 1939. Shows the Big Apple and Dance Contest scene with Whitey's Lindy Hoppers.

3. JAMMIN' THE BLUES, 1944 - one of the most beautiful jazz shorts ever made, in its entirety, featuring Harry "Sweets" Edison, Lester Young, Illinois Jacquet, Jonah "Jo" Jones, Sid Catlett, Red Callender, Barney Kessell. The icing on the cake for us is a song and Lindy Hop dance number with Marie Bryant and Archie Savage.

4. JITTERBUG PARTY, 1935 - Cab Calloway's brilliant zaniness. Party guests do a Shim Sham together.

5. SMASH YOUR BAGGAGE, 1932 - Rarely seen film staging of a Small's Paradise floor show, featuring Roy Eldridge, Dickie Wells, "Rubber Legs" Williams and a host of jazz and tap dancers.

6. THE NICHOLAS BROTHERS - Fayard and Harold talk their way into an appearance on a radio show. Classic flash tap dance act.

7. HOT CHOCOLATE, 1941 - Duke Ellington and His Orchestra featuring Ben Webster play "Cottontail" and Whitey's Lindy Hoppers burn it up. Similar to the famous Hellzapoppin' routine.

8. COLES AND ATKINS - Honi Coles and Cholly Atkins had one of the classiest and smoothest tap acts in the business, as you'll see in these two soft shoe dance numbers.

This DVD is in DVD-R format. It is not country coded and should play on both US and overseas DVD players as long as they can handle the DVD-R format.
