Miriam's frock is a delight indeed. The bodice is constructed out of 6 pattern pieces. The seams that connect the center bodices to both the front and back shoulder yokes are piped with the coordinating green striped fabric that is also seen at the lower skirt. The fabric of the center front godet visually connects with the lowest of the double flounced sleeves. The top of the sleeve is ruched as is the upper and lower bodice front. The dress closes with a zipper at the side and a vintage, black glass, faceted button at the of the back neck.

Miriam's jacket is a balance of the simple and complex. Stitched in black rayon tricotine, the front and back of the jacket has minimal shaping and is attached to a butterfly peplum. The unstructured jacket sports a long, shaped lapel faced with green barcode striped rayon crepe and closes with two 1" buttons connected with a thread chain at the waist. You will see that this fabric is repeated on the unique gauntlet cuffs with pointed draped flounce. The cuffs button with 14 covered buttons and loops.
