Sylvia and Nick describe BALBOA this way:
Balboa is a closed position dance developed on the crowded
dance floors in Southern California through the 1920's and
1930's. The dance is alive and well today and is danced all
over the world by people of all ages. Balboa's smooth
footwork and intimate partner connection make it truly a
unique dance. Some say it's like floating on air.

When Sylvia and Nick do the Balboa it is definitely like floating on air!


And this is how they describe BAL-SWING:
Bal-Swing is a dance from the 1930's invented by the young
dancers of Southern California. A combination of Balboa and
an original dance called California Swing, it's one of the
most fun and exciting partner dances in American history.
Its intricate turns, fun partner moves and dynamic footwork
create a great dance for all ages and music tempos.

BOTH the Beginning Balboa and the Beginning Bal-Swing DVDs are essential to get a foundation in this dance. Beginning Balboa emphasizes the closed position, footwork and weight shifts. Beginning Bal-Swing focuses on open patterns.

USA - $5 for one to 4 DVDs
CANADA - $12 for one to 4 DVDs
REST OF WORLD - $13 for one to 4 DVDs


We do most of our shipping by Priority Mail from the US Postal Service. For many years this has been the quickest and most reliable method. Deliveries within the US are from 2 to 4 days after shipping. In other countries it is generally one to two weeks. We will take responsibility if your packages are damaged in shipping. This almost never happens.

There is limited tracking with Priority Mail.

Recently we have added First Class Mail to offer customers a low cost option for shipping of DVDs only. These packages are wrapped lightly to qualify for lower costs. We believe the DVDs will be secure because they are inside their cases but we cannot guarantee it for First Class Mail. Also, there is no tracking at all for First Class Mail, so we do not take responsibility if your package is lost.

First Class Mail (and Media Mail in the USA for packages over 12 oz.)is extremely variable in delivery time. It can be anywhere from a few days on the East Coast of the US, to two weeks or more elsewhere in the USA. In Canada and Europe it can be two to four weeks or more.
